Police: One man killed, another injured in Morrow County crash

LEXINGTON, Ore. – Oregon State Police say one man died and another man was injured in a single vehicle rollover crash in Morrow County Wednesday.

Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the crash on Highway 74 north of Lexington around 5:30 p.m.

Investigators say 42-year-old Anthony Enriquez, from Ukiah, was driving a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup truck northbound when he lost control of the vehicle and rolled it several times. His passenger was 35-year-old Joshua Kenneth Herrig, from Heppner.

Herrig was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, police said.

Enriquez was taken in an ambulance to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are considering Alcohol, speed and safety restraints as factors in the fatal crash.

Highway 47 was closed for about three hours during the investigation.
