EUGENE, Ore. - Police shut down a stretch of the Beltline on Monday after reports of a man "jumping in and out of the traffic lanes."
Police got a call about the situation at 10:17 a.m.
A notice went out by email to local media at 10:46 a.m. announcing the closure.
"Westbound Beltline from Division Avenue to River Avenue is shut down as police respond to a man who has been jumping in and out of the traffic lanes," Eugene Police said.
Officers took the 35-year-old man into custody at 10:47 a.m. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The road was back open shortly after 11 a.m.
