3 dead after pair of unrelated motorcycle crashes near Corvallis on Monday

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Two people died when the motorcycle they were on crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a car Monday evening, the Benton County Sheriff's Office said.

It was the second fatal motorcycle crash in Benton County on Monday, the sheriff's office said. Earlier in the day, a Philomath man died when a pickup turned into his path on Highway 20 near Corvallis.

The second deadly crash happened around 8:36 p.m.

Deputies said Brian Joseph Narzisi of Corvallis, Oregon was riding northbound on Highland Drive, north of Crescent Valley Drive, on a 1978 Suzuki Motorcycle.

Lisa Marie Pridemore of Corvallis was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle.

Narzisi crossed into oncoming traffic in a curve at a high rate of speed and crossed into oncoming traffic, striking the driver's side of an oncoming 2013 Hyundai Accent driven by Karin Donoyan of Alsea, the sheriff's office said.

The impact ejected both people from the motorcycle.

Deputies found them dead at the scene.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Deputies ask anyone with information to contact Sgt. David Peterson at (541) 766-6820 if they have any information about the crash.

The investigation closed the road for 3 1/2 hours.
