CORVALLIS, Ore. - After a long and grueling season, two teams for Lane County are still standing, hoping to be crowned the champions of the 5A Division on Friday night.

The top-ranked Marist girls are en route to a championship game Friday night at 6:45 p.m. at Gill Coliseum against La Salle, thanks to a comeback victory over Silverton.

Marist went into the half trailing Silverton 21-12. But in the third quarter, the Spartans found their defense and mounted a comeback.

After that, the Thurston Colts meet the Wilsonville Wildcats at 8:30 p.m. with the 5A Boys Basketball State title on the line.

Thurston beat Crater in the semifinals en route to the title game.

But the possibility of a Eugene-Springfield title game came to an end with Churchill's loss to Wilsonville.
