Head Coach Taggart hires new wide receivers coach

EUGENE, Ore. – University of Oregon Head Football Coach Willie Taggart announced Friday he will hire Jimmie Dougherty as wide receivers coach.

Dougherty spent the past year coaching under Jim Harbaugh at Michigan. He served as an offensive analyst for the 12th-best scoring team in the nation.

Before his time at Michigan, Dougherty worked as assistant head coach, wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator at San Jose State.

Dougherty also has prior experience coaching in the Pac-12. He coached wide receivers at Washington from 2009 to 2012.

In college, Dougherty played as quarterback at Missouri from 1997 to 2001.
