WACO, Texas – The University of Oregon Acrobatics and Tumbling Team took its first loss of the season Sunday to the Baylor Bears.

The Bears scored 289.745 points while the Ducks fell just short of that with 286.050 at the Ferrell Center.

"I'm proud of our girls. They fought until the end of the meet. Unfortunately, it didn't end the way we wanted it to, but our kids are walking away with their chins up. We will go back and continue to work hard to finish our season strong!” said Ducks Head Coach Chelsea Shaw.

The Ducks faced the Bears in Eugene earlier this season and gave the Bears their only loss of the season. Now, the tables have turned and Ducks are the ones leaving Texas with a loss.

The two teams are 5-1 on the season.

Oregon came out on top in the compulsory event and four heats. Baylor claimed 13 heats and five events. The two teams tied heats twice.

Although Oregon lost, their final score of 286.05 is their second-highest of the season. The highest tally came against Fairmont State when they scored a 288.425 at home.
