UTrans bus towed after car crashes into back of it

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Winston man was cited Wednesday after he ran into rear end of an Umpqua Transit bus in Roseburg.

According to a Roseburg Police Department report, a UTrans bus was stopped on Stewart Parkway at the bus stop picking up a customer when the 19-year-old man ran into the back of the stopped bus in his 2009 Ford Focus.

The driver of the car indicated he was momentarily distracted and couldn't stop in time, the report said.

Both the bus and car were towed from the scene by Roseburg Towing.

There were no injuries reported.

The driver of the car was cited for following too closely.
