South Coast wood artists featured at Coos Art Museum exhibit
COOS BAY, Ore. -- From December 15, 2017 to February 17, 2018 Coos Art Museum will be exhibiting a selection of wood art by local artist/craftsmen.
The South Oregon Coast is known for its wood and woodworkers, the museum says, and this exhibition highlights local talent featuring many pieces of fine furniture, woodturning, and decorative wood art.
The exhibition will be held on the second floor of the Museum and includes the following woodworking artists: Steve Adams of Bandon; Jim Berg of Coos Bay; Henry Donaldson of Coos Bay; Rick Fox of Coos Bay; Ray French of North Bend; Jim Hodson of Charleston; Richard Kelley of Coos Bay; Ike Launstein of Reedsport; Don Lund of North Bend; Ed Meyer of North Bend; John Muenchrath of Coos Bay; Brian and Kitty Noel of Bandon; Roland A. Olsen of North Bend; Dan Randle of Coos Bay; Terry Rice; Mark Rom of North Bend, Sam Scott of Coos Bay; Tony Smith of North Bend; Mark Stueve of Coos Bay; Ken Tedder of Coos Bay; Ross Tofflemire of Reedsport, Jim Toftner of Reedsport.
A free public opening reception will take place from 5pm until 7pm on December 15 and all are invited to attend and meet the artists.
