Small aircraft makes emergency landing on Rogue River near Merlin

The small plane's single-engine died while making a flight over Hellgate Canyon, but the pilot was able to safely glide onto the Rogue River, making an emergency landing without any injuries.{ }(Mollie Smith/KTVL){p}{/p}

The Sierra Swift Water Rescue team was conducting a training exercise near where the plane crash occurred. One of the team leaders said she thought the floating plane was a jet boat until she heard someone call for help.{ }(Mollie Smith/KTVL)
