BEAVERTON, Ore. – A high school track coach was arrested Tuesday, accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl.
Branden Michael Helms was a track coach at Sunset High School, which is where investigators say he met the victim in the case.
Officers say the investigation began on June 26 when they learned Helms allegedly had inappropriate contact with a girl. Authorities say it could have started two months before the investigation began.
