Springfield High School receives $130K donation of drafting tools
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Springfield High School students are celebrating a generous donation that will help them learn a trade fresh out of high school, thanks to a local company.
Imagination International donated $130,000 worth of high quality drafting tools to the school's Career Technical Education courses.
Springfield students and educators helped pack the donated equipment Friday morning.
Adam Dimock says this allows his students a leg up on learning a trade in high school.
Students will now have access to the same quality equipment currently used by industry leaders.
"If we can get the instruments that they're using in the industry at the high school level, we're just going to make it that more competitive for our students," Dimock said.
“I'm super excited to get all this new equipment to use and explore with the new things we get to create," added SHS student Hunter Gallagher.
Imagination International says it was an honor to partner with Springfield High and fill their needs.
