EUGENE, Ore. - Lane Community College and Northwest Christian University are joining forces to offer transfer students a better path to graduation.

The Titan to Beacon agreement gives Lane graduates in multiple studies the opportunity to advance their learning experience.

Students majoring in psychology, business, music, nursing, human services, and teacher education, would be able to apply academic credit at NCU.

The goal is to save students time and money though this partnership.

“I kind of felt like i was jumping around in the dark from time to time ," said Curtis Smith, an NCU student, "and I think this is going to create a clear pathway for students who want to make this transition to NCU and it'll give them a nice, smooth path to take along."

The presidents of both institutions say that this is a historic way to give their students access to affordable, easy education right here in Eugene.
