If a North Carolina road sign is to be believed, the Carolina Panthers will beat the Denver Broncos 20-7 in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday.

A photo posted to Facebook by Jason Smith depicts a sign along N.C. Highway 16 marking 7 miles to Denver and 20 miles to Newton. Given the Panthers' quarterback is named Cam Newton, he took the sign to be an omen the Panthers will win.

"A sign from the football gods!! Go Panthers!" Smith wrote in a Feb. 2 Facebook post that has since been shared more than 36,000 times.

The Broncos, currently led by quarterback Peyton Manning, won the Super Bowl in 1998 and 1999. The Panthers hope to achieve their first Super Bowl victory in Santa Clara, California on Sunday.
