FBI: Bank robber nicknamed 'The No Frills Bandit' wanted for 3 robberies in Va.

A bank robber nicknamed "The No Frills Bandit" is wanted for three robberies in Virginia between July and September of 2017, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Richmond Division.

Investigators say three banks, Union Bank and Trust in Spotsylvania, Virginia, BB&T Bank in Mechanicsville, Virginia and a Wells Fargo Bank in Henrico, Virginia, were all robbed by the bandit.

In each robbery, "The No Frills Bandit" provided a note to a teller and suggested he had a weapon.

Authorities describe the bank robber as a black man nearly 6-foot-2 and between 200 and 225 pounds. He's heavy set with facial hair resembling a "scruffy beard."

FBI officials say he was wearing a black shirt with jeans and a blue and green ball cap.

The Richmond Division of the FBI is asking anyone with information on "The No Frills Bandit" to call 804-261-1044. A reward of up to $5,000 is also being offered.
