WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Happy Birthday, RBG! The Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, turns 86 -- yes, you read that right -- 86-years old today.

In honor of her 86th birthday, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser is honoring the Supreme Court justice in a very special way: her own day in the District.

Mayor Bowser announced on Twitter that Mar. 15, 2019 is officially proclaimed as #RBGDay in the Nation's Capital.

"Happy 86th Birthday to our loved and much admired #NotoriousRBG!" said Mayor Bowser via Twitter. "To commemorate, I officially proclaim March 15th, 2019 as #RBGday in the District, honoring the incredible knowledge and strength of our Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg."

To further commemorate her birthday, fans of RBG are throwing a 'birthday party' on the steps of the Supreme Court. But not just your ordinary birthday party, though.

Over a thousand people will plank on the steps of the Supreme Court while singing 'Happy Birthday' to her.
