President Donald Trump, accompanied by the First Lady, lit the National Christmas Tree near the White House in the 95th Annual Ceremony on Thursday.

This year's tree is 28 feet tall and is a Colorado Blue Spruce from Virginia. It has 75,000 LED lights with colors in gold, silver and white.

The lighting of the tree has been a tradition since 1923 when President Coolidge lit a 48-foot fir tree on the Ellipse, south of the White House. This year, the performers include artists Kathie Lee Gifford and Dean Cain as hosts, the Beach Boys, Jack Wagner and more.
