Deputies say a woman passed out in the front seat of a non-running car had a baby sitting in the backseat.

The pair was found in a Greenacres Walmart parking lot along Forest Hill Boulevard, just four miles away from where the woman lived, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say 31-year-old Charisma Rae Jean Bondonese, of Lake Worth, was found unconscious late Friday night by a Walmart manager, who quickly called 911.

A responding deputy saw the woman passed out inside a Honda Accord and opened the door to get to her, the sheriff's office said. The deputy had to catch Bondonese to keep her from falling out of the car.

Once awake, Bondonese told deputies she pulled over so she could sleep because she was tired. Deputies say she seemed confused and slurred her words while talking.

Deputies could see several syringe plungers, syringes with needles, syringes with bent needles and caps in plain view throughout the car, according to the sheriff's office. Crews also spotted track marks and bruises on both of her forearms.

Bondonese told deputies she was a diabetic and suffers from high blood sugar levels, but Greenacres Fire Rescue said her levels were normal and the marks on her arms were inconsistent with injection sites for diabetes.

Deputies found syringes full of blood and a substance that came back positive for heroin, according to the Sheriff's Office. Those needles, deputies said, were within the child's reach and could have caused serious harm.

Bondonese was arrested and is facing charges of drug possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and child neglect.

She was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail.
