HUNT VALLEY, Md. (Sinclair Broadcast Group) – Following suit with other major companies after passage of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Sinclair Broadcast Group will be paying a $1,000 bonus to nearly 9,000 of its employees.

On Wednesday, following the passage of the bill, companies including AT&T, Comcast, Wells Fargo and Boeing each announced they’d award bonuses and invest in employees as a result of the cuts.

Noting the benefits the bill will provide to the economy, “we recognize that our employees are our most valuable resource, truly appreciate their combined achievements for our company and look forward to a very bright future,” President and CEO Chris Ripley of Sinclair Broadcast Group stated.

President Donald Trump signed the bill into law Friday morning before leaving for the holiday break, noting Sinclair's investment in its employees.
