President Donald Trump delivered a speech Monday outlining his national security strategy.

Administration officials said Trump will implement his "America First" philosophy on a global scale in order to protect and advance America's interests, but they also insisted this does not mean "America Alone."

A 68-page strategy document released prior to the speech tied national security to economic security and stressed that international relationships must be fair and reciprocal.

"In pursuit of that future, we will look at the world with clear eyes and fresh thinking. We will promote a balance of power that favors the United States, our allies, and our partners. We will never lose sight of our values and their capacity to inspire, uplift, and renew," Trump said in the introduction to the document.
