WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) — Water isn't the only necessity South Carolinians are stocking up on to get them through Hurricane Florence.

Outside a West Ashley Total Wine & More, residents made sure they had enough booze to brave the storm.

Carts were filled with beer, wine, liquor and, of course, plenty of rum to make the drink of choice for Hurricane Florence: A Dark and Stormy.

In case they lose power, locals are also loading up on ice.
