2 flee after minivan plows head-on into Seattle motel sign
SEATTLE - A driver and passenger fled on foot after a minivan crashed into a motel sign early Wednesday along Seattle's Marginal Way.
Police responded to the scene, in the 7000 block of E. Marginal Way South, at about 3 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle plowing into a building.
A minivan was found at the scene, where it had crashed head-on into a tall illuminated sign in front of the motel. The sign sustained significant damage, but the motel building itself was not impacted.
The driver and passenger - a man and a woman - fled after the crash.
Nobody at the hotel was hurt.
