EUGENE, Ore. - Would you take the bus between Eugene and Florence?

You can provide your input now in a survey funded by the Oregon Department of Transportation.

"This project began after hearing from community members within this corridor that affordable public transportation was needed but unavailable for job commute, personal needs, recreation and medical trips," the Lane Council of Governments said in a statement.

The Council is leading the study, working with ODOT, Lane Transit District the City of Florence; Florence Chamber of Commerce; Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians; and Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians

"These groups have received a great deal of feedback from community members seeking affordable transportation options for job commute, medical appointments, tourism, shopping trips, and other needs," the Council said in a statement. "This survey will gather detailed feedback about how, when, why and if public transportation would be used between Florence and Eugene."

You can take the survey online, or complete a digital PDF copy. Email finished digital PDF copies to glen.southerland@ci.florence.or.us.
