EUGENE, Ore. – After a rough season for the University of Oregon football team, questions have been circulating about the fate of Mark Helfrich’s position as head coach.

Many expected some sort of announcement Sunday.

Instead, Athletic Director Rob Mullens issued a statement to the press saying, “Now that our season is complete, I will evaluate all aspects of our football program, as I do with all of our sports after their seasons have ended. That evaluation includes meeting with Coach Helfrich in the coming days to discuss the future of Oregon football.”

According to a report, Mullens is currently in Dallas working with the College Football Playoff Committee.

Helfrich said he and Mullens will meet midweek.
