Springfield teen charged with attempted murder in Portland-area shooting
PORTLAND, Ore. - The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force took a 17-year-old Springfield boy into custody Monday afternoon on a warrant accusing him of attempted murder and assault in the first degree, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.
Jeffrey D. Terrell is accused of shooting a 16-year-old boy at the boy's home in the Bethany area of Washington County last week.
The victim has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, the sheriff's office said.
Marshals located Terrell near Providence Park in downtown Portland on Monday after detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest. The sheriff's office said Terrell would be booked into the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center.
