SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Will there be a "Christmas Miracle"?

The Springfield Christmas Parade, which was cancelled due to a lack of volunteers, might yet happen this year.

The parade has been a community tradition since 1953.

The news of the parade's cancellation sparked Tanya Blakely, Monica Compton and others into action.

TThey've rallied to bring the parade back - with a "Christmas Miracle" theme.

The two organizers met with City of Springfield officials. They hope to have a final answer soon on whether they can move forward with a parade on December 2.

Organizers are looking for businesses and people who might be interested in taking part.

They have 30 entries so far. They hope to boost that number to 100 - and have the parade go on.

You can learn more about participating in the parade by visiting the group's Facebook page or calling (520) 310-7434.
