TOKETEE FALLS, Ore. - Search crews are looking for a missing Mt. Angel man near Toketee in eastern Douglas County after a man told deputies that he and his friend had been lost in the woods for two days.

Deputies responded to the Glide Store at 6 p.m. Monday after Anthony Fennimore, 29, of Silverton called dispatchers, the sheriff's office said.

Fennimore said he and his friend - Jeffery A. Vance, 30, of Mt. Angel - "experienced vehicle problems after becoming lost and eventually walked away from the vehicle together on Friday," the sheriff's office said. "The two became separated either Saturday night or Sunday morning."

Fennimore got a ride to Glide on Monday and called dispatch, the sheriff's office said.

Search crews are now working to locate Vance and the vehicle, a maroon 2008 Chevy Colorado pickup with Oregon license plate 436KSW.

Vance is 6-feet tall, 300 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last known to be wearing dark blue or black Helli Hansen rain gear, a brown or gray stocking cap, a camouflage framed backpack and Georgia boots, the sheriff's office said.

The Sheriff's Office is being assisted in the search by Pacific Power, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Forest Service and Oregon State Police.
