Police seize 1.5 pounds of marijuana brownies at Springfield High School
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Police seized a pound and a half of marijuana brownies from a student Thursday at Springfield High School.
Officer Erick Todd said two male students were on campus displaying signs of being under the influence of marijuana.
Police found the brownies in one of their backpacks.
The brownies were individually packaged.
Police suspect the intent was to sell or distribute the brownies, possibly on 4/20. There is no evidence the boys sold any of the brownies, police said.
The bust follows an incident this week at a Springfield middle school. Police say a 12-year-old 7th-grader at Thurston Middle School gave edible marijuana candy to three other students on Monday.
