Police identify suspect in hit-and-run crash on Bailey Hill Road

EUGENE, Ore. - Police have identified a person of interest in a hit-and-run investigation after a driver suspected of colliding with a motorcycle last week drove away from the scene, Eugene Police said.

Police identified Taj Lemieux, 41, of New Pine Creek, Oregon, and ask anyone with information as to his whereabouts to call Eugene Police at (541) 359-7611 and reference case #1809616.

Police described the suspect vehicle as a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban with Oregon lice plate 539 JCT.

"Police received information that the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Bailey Hill Road when the Suburban pulled out from the Bailey Hill Market and collided with the motorcycle," Eugene Police said.

The motorcyclist is still recovering, but has been released from the hospital.

The incident took place on Monday, June 11.
