Police: Philomath man arrested on charges related to December ATM robbery in Corvallis
CORVALLIS, Ore. -- A Philomath man has been arrested in connection with an ATM robbery in Corvallis last month.
On the morning of December 27, 2017, Corvallis officers responded to the Bank of America at 324 SW 3rd ST, after a 911 caller reported an unknown man came up from behind the victim as cash was being dispensed from the ATM outside the bank, and grabbed the victim's money.
The suspect did not display or use any weapons, but wrestled the cash away from the victim and fled on foot from the area, police said.
On Thursday, January 4, 28-year-old Christopher J. Becker of Philomath was arrested on charges related to this case, the department reported.
Becker was arrested in Lincoln County and later transported to back to the Benton County Jail where he was lodged on multiple charges, including Robbery III, Theft II, and Harassment with a bail of $40,000.
