SWEET HOME, Ore. -- Police in Sweet Home are searching for two suspects who fled after reportedly stealing a vehicle, police said.

Around 1:15 a.m. Thursday, Sweet Home Police Department received a report involving a robbery and a stolen vehicle.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of Main Street and talked with two male victims, both residents of Sweet Home.

They reported they had picked up two men, one of whom is known to one of the victims, at approximately 1 a.m.

They said when they drove the two suspects onto Pleasant Valley Road, one of the them displayed a handgun and stole personal items from the victims and forced them out of the vehicle, according to the report.

The suspects drove away in the victim’s vehicle, a 2001 Buick.

Around 2 a.m., an officer located the stolen vehicle in the 4900 block of Main Street traveling east and occupied by four people.

The officer followed onto 60th Avenue while awaiting backup.

When the vehicle approached the intersection of 60th and Poplar, it was forced to turn west onto Poplar Street due to the Foster Dam Road being closed and blocked.

The vehicle failed to make the turn and crashed into the guard rail there, police said. At the time of the crash, the officer had not attempted to stop the vehicle and was still following it while waiting for additional units.

The crash was partly a result of the slick road due to icy conditions, the report said.

Two men and a woman fled on foot. Another woman remained in the vehicle and was detained by the officer.

A Linn County Sheriff’s deputy located the woman that had fled and took her into custody.

35-year-old Desire Laree Tenbusch of Sweet Home was charged with Unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle and lodged at the Linn County Jail.

19-year-old Liv Shaela Breanne Lanning of Scio was charged with the Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. She also had several outstanding warrants which included a Failur to Appear - Assault IV out of the Albany Municipal Court, a Failure to Appear -Attempt to Elude – Vehicle, Attempt to Elude – Foot, Reckless Driving out of the Linn County Circuit Court, and a Linn County Supervisory Warrant for PV – Elude/PCS Meth. She was lodged at the Linn County Jail.

The Sweet Home Police Department is seeking the two male suspects, identified as 24-year-old Zachary Mitchell Johnson and 24-year-old Corey Brandon Ford (Aka Wreyford). Both are considered armed and dangerous, police said.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
