Police: Deli, credit union robberies in Springfield may be connected
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Springfield Police say Friday's robbery at Ashley's Deli may be connected to a local bank robbery.
SPD says a woman walked into Ashley's Deli on main street and handed employees a note demanding money Friday night.
They say she had a knife and threatened employees.
No one was hurt but the suspect got away.
“The description is similar to the suspect to the robbery from the Pacific Cascade (Federal Credit Union) earlier in the week,” Springfield Police Sgt. George Crolly said. “It's a little bit different but there are enough similarities for us to think it may be the same person involved. We shared some information with our patrol officers about those leads we have.”
The suspect is still at large, described as a white female with brown hair and glasses.
