Police arrest suspect accused of robbing, damaging Reality Kitchen food cart
EUGENE, Ore. – Police arrested an 18-year-old Saturday on charges of a robbery crime they say he committed against Reality Kitchen Cart in November.
Police arrested Trevor John Broderick, 18, of Eugene, on Saturday, December 10 on charges of robbery 1, unlawful use of a weapon, and criminal mischief 2.
Police say on November 11, a woman told an officer Reality Kitchen Cart near the LTD bus station had been attacked.
Witnesses told police a man, later identified as Broderick, grabbed some items from the food cart and threw them around.
He came back to the cart and the employee picked up a crowbar to defend himself, but Broderick took the bar, threatened the employee and smashed a window in the food cart with it.
Broderick left the scene down Olive Street.
Officers found Broderick later that day, but he didn’t fit the description of the suspect and police released him on scene.
After investigating further, the found Broderick was in fact the suspect.
They arrested him on December 10. He was charged with robbery 1, unlawful use of a weapon and criminal mischief.
