LEBANON, Ore. -- A teenager was hospitalized Thursday after she was struck by a vehicle while riding her bike in Lebanon, police said.

Around 6:55 a.m. Thursday, Lebanon Police Department and Lebanon Fire Department responded to a pedestrian versus vehicle crash at the intersection of Tangent and 5th streets.

When personnel arrived, they located a 15-year-old girl lying in the bicycle lane with injuries.

Paramedics tended to her and transported her to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis.

Officers contacted the driver and passenger of the vehicle that struck the girl as well as witnesses while they controlled traffic in the intersection.

The 65-year-old Waterloo man driving the vehicle remained on scene and was fully cooperative with the investigation, police said.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing, but alcohol, drugs, and speed do not appear to be a factor in the crash.

The extent of the girl's injuries are unknown at this time.

If you have any information regarding the crash, contact Detective Justin McCubbins at (541) 258-4346.
