Pipe Screams aims to keep organ music on your radio
EUGENE, Ore. - The 14th annual Pipe Screams hosted their recital on Friday night in an effort to raise money to help keep organ music on the radio.
The event was put on by members of the Eugene chapter of the American Guild of Organists, who wore Halloween costumes and played some spooky music at the First United Methodist Church.
"As church organists, we don't get to do wild and crazy things very often, so this was sort of a way to let our silly sides out," said Barbara Baird, an organist. "And we play music that we might now , well, we would never play in church."
