LANE COUNTY, Ore. — After much was made in the last few days over the likeliness of snow on the valley floor, it appears that Eugene and the surrounding areas will mostly steer clear of any major wintery weather.

However, when you climb up the mountain passes, to elevations about 3,000 ft. above sea level, there is expected to be an accumulation of more than two feet, with 3-4 feet anticipated on the Willamette Pass.

In Eugene and other lower elevations, mostly rain is expected from now through Tuesday night.

Officials are warning for potential road closures due to the snow, and encourage drivers that roads will likely be slick and visibility could be reduced.
