Name of man shot and killed by Eugene Police released

    EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon State Police released the name of the man who was shot and killed by the Eugene Police outside of Cascade Middle School on Friday.

    The Interagency Deadly Force Investigation Team has reported that the man was Charles Frederick Landeros, 30, of Eugene.

    As of now, IDFIT has not released any other information involved in the investigation.

    In response to the shooting, protesters gathered outside Cascade Middle School Sunday.

    They say Landeros was unjustly killed by police.

    Counter-protesters supporting police also showed up.
