PORTLAND, Ore. – The man who reportedly broke into a Portland home naked pleaded guilty to burglary and kidnapping charges Thursday.

Miguel Gomez was sentenced to 145 months in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree burglary and first-degree kidnapping.

On Saturday, Feb. 18, 2018, a mother and her two young children told police they managed to escape after Gomez broke into their apartment through a fourth-story balcony.

She said he tried to force her into the bathroom and “interfered” with her attempt to call 911.

When police arrived at the apartment on Northeast Sandy Boulevard, they found Gomez hiding naked behind a couch.

The woman told police she recognized Gomez as someone who used to live in the building.

The property manager told KATU that Gomez was banned from the apartment complex, but his parents live on-site.

According to court records, Gomez has been arrested 13 times since 2015, mainly on theft and drug charges.
