Medford students celebrate eclipse with science

MEDFORD, Ore. - Students at North Medford High School are celebrating a victorious balloon launch on the day of the Great American Eclipse.

These students have been working with NASA and Montana State University to launch the balloon during the total solar eclipse.

The goal was to collect data on the Earth during totality.

It's a project the students have been working on for two years now.

"When it finally went off the ground, I was super relieved that everything went perfectly and on time," said Apoorva Singh, a student at North Medford.

The team had to retrieve the two balloons to collect the data taken during the eclipse.
