Man wanted for Corvallis credit union robbery arrested in Salem

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Police say they have arrested a man wanted in connection a the robbery at a Corvallis credit union.

On Monday, February 5, Corvallis Police detectives located the suspect, Christopher J. Becker, in Salem.

He was arrested by the Salem Police Department and transported to the Marion County Jail where he was held on a Benton County Circuit Court warrant for third degree robbery and first degree theft.

Police said Becker, a Philomath resident, robbed the Central Willamette Credit Union on Circle Boulevard.

They say he passed the teller a note demanding money, got the cash and took off in a taxi before getting out and running away.

Police say he was not armed at the time and nobody was injured.

Police say Becker was arrested in December for stealing money from a man at a Bank of America.
