EUGENE, Ore - Friends with Heart Art Sale is giving Community Veterinary Services a helping hand by raffling off baskets full of art to the public.

The raffle took place in the Veterans Memorial building Saturday.

It's an annual art show that focuses on a different non-profit organization every year.

This year, the non-profit is Community Veterinary Services, an organization that services pets in low-income households.

Their goal is to raise more than $1,000 for an extension project for the veterinary building.

"We are looking to expand our building," Community Veterinary Services Board President Charlotte Behm said.

She said the new building will give them the opportunity to perform surgeries.

So far organizers said they raised more than $300.

The event ends on Saturday, March 25 at 8 p.m.
