Living Wax Museum: Sixth graders bring people from history to life
LOWELL, Ore. -- Students at Lundy Elementary School in Lowell hosted a Living Wax Museum fundraiser Thursday night.
The students chose their favorite person from history and became them for a day.
“We mix together social studies, writing, public speaking and then throw it all together, and they get to come here and kind of show off to the people of Lowell and family members,” Gregory Erickson, sixth grade teacher, said.
The students are “frozen” until a ticket is put into their box and then they “come alive.”
The students memorize historical facts about their person of choice and tell their story out loud.
