LATEST NUMBERS | Check returns in statewide and key local races

LANE COUNTY, Ore. - It's Primary Election Night in Oregon, and we're breaking down the local and statewide races that are important to watch with ballots flowing in until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Several voters have made their way through the drop boxes, and this election comes at a time when Lane County has a record-high umber of registered voters, with more than 251,000 voters registered.

Cheryl Betschart, a County Clerk, expects about 35% of those voters to actually vote on Tuesday, based on turnout from the May 2014 elections. With the returns that have been counted so far, Lane County is on track to see 28 percent return.

"Certainly want people to exercise their right to vote and that's an awesome privilege we have," said Betschart. "We'd like to see that voter turnout percentage continue to climb all the way through the end of today."

Ballots close at 8 p.m., and you can call the Elections Office with any last minute questions.

The first round of results will come out around the same time ballots close at 8 p.m., and there are plenty of races to keep an eye on.
