Level 1 evacuation notice for homes near High Pass fire

JUNCTION CITY, Ore. - Fire officials recommend a Level 1 "Get Ready" evacuation for residences near the High Pass fire burning west of Junction City.

"Lane County Search and Rescue Personnel are in the area making notifications," Chief Brandon Nicol with Junction City Fire and Rescue said in a press release.

A Level 1 Evacuation means to "Be Ready" for a potential evacuation. Level 2 means "Get Set" and Level 3 means "Go!"

"This is the time for preparation and precautionary movement of persons with special needs, mobile property and (under certain circumstances) pets and livestock," Nicol said in a press release.

The area subject to the evacuation notice begins at the intersection of High Pass Road and Templeton Road.

It all addresses on High Pass Road west of Templeton Road; all addresses on Templeton Road; and all addresses on Springbrook Lane.
