Food donations will benefit The Giving Plate in Bend, which can accept donations of various goods, including canned soup, fruit, vegetables, pasta sauce, cake mixes, boxed meals, baby food and formula.

"This is the earliest Hoodoo will open since the 2005-06 season," the ski area said in a press release. "Additionally, 100% of Hoodoo's management team is back at the mountain this winter, continuing Hoodoo's well-known reputation for excellent, friendly service in a family friendly atmosphere."
