Greyhound closes doors in Eugene; plans relocation to Springfield
EUGENE, Ore. - After 78 years, the Greyhound Station in Eugene is closing down.
The bus lines company is moving the station to Springfield, where it is running it's buses alongside LTD.
The station on Pearl and West 10th will close as the new station is built in Springfield this fall. Greyhound and LTD will share the area, making it easy for commuters to get around.
"It is a perfect transit partnership, you can take the bus, the Greyhound bus into town and then from here get on one of our Annex buses or one of our other buses and pretty much get anywhere you need to go around Eugene and Springfield," said Therese Lang the Public Information Officer with Lane Transit District.
Greyhound will be up and running at their new location in Springfield starting in October.
