Garner Complex Fire in Southern Oregon declared conflagration
Governor Kate Brown has declared the Garner Complex Fire a conflagration.
The Garner Complex is composed of several fires in Jackson and Josephine Counties, has burned 6,382 acres and is eight percent contained.
The declaration clears the way for the state fire marshal to mobilize firefighters and equipment to assist local resources battling the fire.
Four structural task forces from Rogue Valley, Klamath, Lane and Linn Counties are already working to protect structures, and two more task forces will be mobilized Saturday night.
