EUGENE, Ore. -- The 10th annual Free Boomer and Senior Resource Fair welcomed dozens in Eugene Saturday.

The four-hour event took place outside the Campbell Community Center.

It showcased 50 different senior services ranging from senior living centers to healthy dieting for elderly.

The event also included family-fun entertainment.

Each year the Senior Provider Information Network of Lane County organizes the event.

"These are the folks that really paved the way for us, for the younger generation,” said the Network’s Scott Stewart. “We need to honor them; we need to care for them and provide services for them where they need it the most."

The fair is a fundraiser as well with proceeds distributed to various senior centers.

We do not know how much they raised yet, but organizers say they collected $3,500 for Lane County Senior Services last year.
