First-ever 'Eugene Women's Weekend' in the books
EUGENE, Ore. -- The first-ever Eugene Women's Weekend kicked off at the Lane Events Center in Eugene.
Dozens of vendors displayed their products and services while women got to attend free health and fitness seminars.
The show was put on by Oregon native Michael Fisher.
While the turnout wasn't as big as he had planned for, he's hoping the event will grow in the years to come.
"For vendors who would like to expose their products and services to women as clients or prospective clients -- just interesting things that people have that they may not see unless they come to a show like this," said Fisher.
Organizers say they plan to have next year's women's weekend in the spring when the weekends aren't as busy.
