Firefighters work to contain wildfire south of Bly

Willow Springs Fire (South Central Oregon Fire Management Partnership-SCOFMP)

Fire crews work to contain a 50 acre wildfire about 20 miles south southeast of Bly, east of Willow Springs early Monday afternoon.

The Klamath Fall Resource Area, Lakeview District, Bureau of Land Management say a hand crew and three engine crews have been assigned to control the Willow Springs fire by using roads and natural features in the area.

The fire is expected to be 100 percent contained by or on Wednesday.

Community members are reminded that each fire can appear differently depending on forest type, fuel load, and how long a fire has been absent in the area.
