EUGENE, Ore. - Crews responded to a four to five-acre field fire on Coburg Road Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to a report of a grass fire on Wildish Lane shortly after 1:30 p.m.

According to Rick McPherson from the Coburg Fire District, the fire was caused by a whirlwind that blew straw into the powerlines.

He said the lines probably shorted out and fell to the ground.

Crews were assisted by Harrisburg Fire and Rexius; they both originally called on the fire.

McPherson said it took about an hour and a half to extinguish.
